Prescriptions

You do not need to see the doctor each time you need your repeat medication, they can be request directly to the practice. All we ask, is please allow a minimum of 48 hours for your prescription to be processed.

Methods for ordering prescriptions are:

(For above requests – please ensure, full name, date of birth as well as the prescription items required also wdo not accept prescription requests by telephone, as these methods can increase the risk of errors and delays in processing)

 

Pharmacy nominations

You can now have your prescriptions sent electronically (EPS) straight your pharmacy of choice. This can be added to your records via our reception team, please discuss with a member of the team if you would like more information.

Do not call the practice to chase a prescription please call your nominated pharmacy first

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or pharmacist at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Prescription queries 

If you have any queries with regards to your medications, please contact to practice to arrange an appointment with either our in-house pharmacist, doctor or nurse.

You can contact us on either of the following ways:

  • please submit your query through PACO GP
  • contact the practice via telephone to request a call back from our medications management team. 
  • Speak to your pharmacy pharmacist – depending on your query, they may be able to offer you help and support with this.

Collecting your prescription

You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 7 working days after you have ordered it.

You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

  • on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
  • at your GP practice
  • at any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions

    Appointments are available on a Thursday evening with our GP and Practice Nurse - please book these with Reception.
